Blackmagic Design CleanSwitch Overview The Smart Videohub CleanSwitch 12 x 12 6G-SDI from Blackmagic Design is a mixed format router with 12 6G-SDI inputs and 12 6G-SDI outputs for routing any combination of SD, HD, Ultra HD 4K, and DCI 4K video. The CleanSwitch model allows for re-timing of SDI feeds, so all switches are timed to happen between frames. It supports 4:2:2 and 4:4:4 color sampling and 10-bit processing for smoother gradations. Housed in a 1RU frame, the Smart Videohub is ideal for use in both large broadcast systems or portable mini racks for live productions. A built-in LCD lets view your sources directly on the router itself, with simple push buttons and spin knob provided for control. Routing can also be controlled using dedicated remote panels or over Ethernet using the included software for Mac OS X and Windows. Rokinon's Xeen 35mm T1.5 Lens for Sony E-Mount is built specifically for use as a cinema lens. It features an internal focus design so that the lens does not change size while focusing, minimizing the appearance of breathing when changing focus. Each lens in the set is multi-coated for good contrast, glare prevention, and color match to a factory standard, allowing you to assemble a set over time with minimal color shift. This 35mm lens provides what is considered a somewhat wide angle of view on full-frame cameras, and a tighter angle of view on smaller formats.

The lens features dual-sided focus scales marked in feet, with dual-sided iris scales. The 11-bladed iris provides a rounded aperture for natural looking highlights and bokeh. The lens is a manual focus and iris lens, and does not have auto focus or auto iris capability. It incorporates cinema-style focus and iris gears that share the same position across the lenses in the Xeen set. The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes when using a matte box and focus accessories. The focus ring rotates 200° from close focus to infinity. This gives you a high degree of precision when adjusting focus.

This 35mm lens has an image circle that covers a full-frame sensor. When mounted on a camera with a full-frame sensor it provides you with what is considered a slightly wide angle of view.

The lens features metal construction to withstand the rigors of daily production.

Dual right and left side focus and t-stop scales allow your focus puller to work from either side of the lens, without having to flip the lens in the mount, or facing upside numerals.

Each lens in the XEEN series share common focus and iris gear ring positions, which speeds up lens changes as accessories such as follow focus units or iris motors don't have to be re-positioned.

The common 114mm front diameter allows for quick lens changes as you don't have to swap out anti-reflection donuts or adapters to use the same matte box.

The non-rotating front allows you to use optional clip-on matte boxes.

The dedicated Full Cage for Blackmagic Pocket Cinema Camera 6K/4K from SmallRig is a protective frame that enables you to mount accessories onto your Blackmagic Design Pocket Cinema Camera 6K or 4K. One shoe mount, several NATO rails, and multiple 1/4"-20, 3/8"-16, and ARRI-style accessory threads are built into the cage's top and sides.

Access to the camera's controls, compartments, and connectors is maintained when the cage is fitted to the camera. The versatile cage incorporates locating pins and rubber pads for a snug fit on your BMPCC 6K or 4K camera. It also features strap holes to add a hand strap or neck strap. An Allen wrench that stores in the base is included to help tighten the camera screw.

SmallRig 1846B Overview

The 1846 V-Lock Assembly Kit v2 from SmallRig can be used to mount a V-mount battery on your camera or gimbal rig. Designed for use with a battery that powers your camera via a D-Tap or other port and a cable, it does not provide a power interface with your camera.

This cheese plate-style component consists of a female V-lock dock that mounts onto the included male V-lock. Multiple 1/4"-20, M3, and M4 mounting threads provide compatibility with a wide variety of camera cages and rigs.

Blackmagic Design DeckLink Mini Overview With the DeckLink Mini Monitor 4K from Blackmagic Design you can play out 4K content to high-resolution monitors and recorders in real-time from your compatible edit system. A 6G-SDI (backward compatible with SD, HD, and 3G variants) and HDMI 2.0 terminals are on the output panel of the card, so you can connect to professional broadcast equipment and displays or consumer monitors and televisions, respectively. Consumer and professional video codecs are supported, including H.264, Apple ProRes, AVC-Intra, and more, allowing full-resolution output of nearly any project. Wide software support including Blackmagic Design's own DaVinci Resolve and Fusion in addition to other popular platforms such as Apple's Final Cut Pro X, Avid's Media Composer, and Adobe's Premiere and After Effects CC, allows for the same hardware to be used with changing workflows over time.
