ARRI continues to broaden their LED line and reaffirm their commitment to accurate color rendering with the introduction of the blue/silver SkyPanel S30-C LED Softlight. Supported by a pole operated aluminum yoke, the panel's surface area measures 14 x 11.8", making it an ideal portable, on-the-go light source for mobile applications. Output is controlled via interchangeable thermoplastic diffusers that range from Standard to Lite to Heavy to soften the light and wrap its output around your subject and the SkyPanel S30-C outputs the equivalent of a 1000W tungsten soft light while drawing a maximum of only 240W. Using technology originally designed for the L7-C Fresnel, the SkyPanel S30-C is fully color "tuneable" allowing output of a warm 2800K to icy blue 10,000K light and also uses the full RGB+W color gamut with hue and saturation control for fine adjustments. Full minusgreen to full plusgreen is also possible, so if you're lighting for blue or greenscreen, you can simply dial your color chosen in. This wide degree of control is responsible for a very high CRI of 95 and a rating of 91 with the newer TLCI standard. All of these functions as well as 0-100% dimming can adjusted locally with the SkyPanel's onboard controller or remotely via DMX or over a LAN. Besides inputs and outputs appropriate to these functions, the light also has a USB-A port for downloading firmware upgrades from a thumb drive, Windows or Mac. The SkyPanel S30-C can be used worldwide, thanks to its included 90-250 VAC power supply, but it can also use optional 23-36 VDC batteries when mains power is unavailable. The Silver/Blue, Pole Operated L7-C LE2 Color LED Fresnel with powerCON Cable is part of ARRI's continuing effort to replace traditional Fresnels with powerful LED versions that offer unprecedented color control. The L7-C LE2 shares many characteristics with its predecessor, but the most obvious improvement is a 25% boost in power, increasing the light's tungsten equivalency from 750W to 1000W. This pole-operated version is meant for overhead mounting on pipe lengths or a grid. Pan, tilt, and focus are controlled from below with an optional pole using the 3 corresponding cups on the unit's special yoke. The key characteristic of any Fresnel is flood-to-spot capability, and the L7-C LE2 meets and exceeds expectations with an impressive beam angle of 15-50°. There's no learning curve when swapping out L7-C LE2 fixtures for fixtures with standard Fresnels. In fact, you're not going to be moving them around or juggling scrims in high places thanks to the 100 - 0% on-board dimming. The L7-C LE2 is a "fully tune-able" white light source too, allowing you to match existing fixtures from a warm 2800K to ice-blue 10,000K. The on-board controller allows manual intensity control as well as color temperature and +/- green. Specific color shades and skin tones can be matched through the full gamut color mixing feature. All functions can be controlled via DMX, an ideal feature for broadcast studios. The hybrid cooling system allows for cooling both actively (with a fan) or passively (without a fan) for times when the set needs to be dead quiet. The L7-C LE2's 1000W equivalent output draws only 160W during normal operation, making possible a savings of a 75% over similar output tungsten lights.
