BirdDog P400 Overview The black BirdDog EYES P400 is a full NDI 4K PTZ camera featuring up to 4K30 resolution, an 8.5MP Sony CMOS backlit sensor, pro-level color control, and simultaneous 6G-SDI, HDMI, and NDI output. When paired with a Birddog NDI encoder, the P400 provides native 4:2:2 decoding with a 4:2:0 option available for compatible receivers. Detailed 4K resolution and fast pan, tilt, zoom, and autofocus functions make the P400 ideal for fast-paced sports, larger indoor events, and other dynamic productions. The P400 PTZ camera captures the action with a fast f/2.0 20x optical zoom lens plus 12x digital zoom, and 30x SRZ (Super Resolution Zoom) in 4K and 40x SRZ in HD. Remote control options for the P400 include NDI, VISCA over IP, RS-422/RS-232 options in SDI, and an included IR controller. The separately available BirdDog PTZ Keyboard can be used to control up to 255 cameras on a single network. The P400 can be used with the downloadable BirdDog Central Lite NDI stream down-converting software, Cam Control camera settings control, and Comms Lite audio intercom software. The Eyes P100, in black, is BirdDog's entry-level Full NDI indoor PTZ camera based on their custom NDI silicon chip. The P100 captures up to 1080p60 resolution and offers 10x optical zoom, ideal for small to mid-size meeting rooms and environments. The camera features simultaneous 3G-SDI and NDI outputs, allowing you to integrate into an NDI workflow and/or use legacy SDI equipment. NDI is accessible via an Ethernet port provided on an included breakout cable. The breakout cable connects to an extension port on the rear of the camera and also offers a composite output, 3.5mm audio input/output jacks, and RS-232/422/485 control ports. The audio connectors allow the P100 to work with the BirdDog Comms NDI audio intercom platform. The BirdDog Comms Lite version of the software for Windows is included and it supports up to four BirdDog devices, and you can upgrade to the complete Comms Pro version at any later time.
